There is no doubt that the braces are not so cheap and you must be ready to lose a few thousand dollars to straighten your crooked teeth and look better.Apart from the braces you have to pay for the doctor’s appointments (differs according to the countries) and other procedures like X-rays etc.
Cost of different braces
- Traditional braces:-It costs around $5,000.The metal of the traditional braces is quite uncomfortable and the physical look is also not so good as the advanced braces.If you are ready to pay an extra $500 or so you can get ceramic brackets.The advantage of the ceramic brackets is that it is colored more to the shade of the teeth which will make the braces a little less noticeable.
- Concealed braces:-This type lingual braces as the name suggests it is concealed since it is fixed behind the teeth.This type of braces costs about $9,000.Since these type of lingual braces are close to the tongue, it may also cause some discomforts for you.
- Plastic trays:-Plastic trays offered by the invisalign are an affordable alternative to the above mentioned two types.You can get these kind of braces by paying only $3,500.But there are also different types which costs more than this.The advantage is it is more comfortable and also less obvious.
