Problems with Metal Teeth Braces
Metal teeth braces also known as traditional braces are historical way of treating the crooked or misaligned teeth problem. Over the years these have evolved but the previous version of metal braces was popular for many decades. These braces no doubt helped the cross bites, over bites, deep bites and other problems to cure, but they came at a price.
First of all, it the metal teeth braces take considerably long period to align the crooked teeth. Usually it varies from 3-4 years depending on the criticality of the problem and routine or discipline followed by the patient.
Secondly, with these traditional braces it is very difficult to eat the food of your choice, because the worry to clean them afterwards jeopardizes the fun or the willingness of having the food. It is not so easy to cleanse the teeth even if normal food is consumed every day.
Thirdly, these visible braces can cause a problem of complexity among the patients. This is particularly seen among the children, teenager girls and young women. Even the white collar employees find it embarrassing sometimes.
So, these metal braces have definitely done good to people, however, they paid a cost for getting the teeth aligned. Nowadays invisible teeth braces or orthodontic teeth braces are invented for resolving the cosmetic issues metal braces had. Plus, these invisible braces can align the teeth faster and are very comfortable.
